So there I was, brushing my teeth in front of the sink as one would customarily do. Sometimes, I leave the water running. It’s a vice; I know. I’m sorry. Also, my bathroom sink has been suffering from a partially clogged drain. Therefore, the sink was full of water.
While brushing away, I felt a familiar buzz in my left front pocket. The hyper-communicator in me just had to know who or what that was all about. So, I reach in (still brushing) and gracelessly extract my phone from the pocket.
One bobble later, my phone was hurdling towards the full sink of water. In it went. I tossed out a solid Christian cuss word and snatched it out immediately. Sadly, it was too late. The damage was done. Long story short, I have a new phone and I’m committed to AT&T for another 2 years.
That’s my dumb story for the week. I would love to hear yours.

I haven’t a clue what the dumbest thing I did this week (plus the week ain’t over yet) but I would imagine it had something to do with my big mouth! It usually does…
Driving in the snow for a less than a two mile roundtrip… slid into a parked car and backed (at least my rear view mirror) into a mailbox; proud moments. In a related story, my neighbors and I are getting no one another one note at a time
Kenny, my heart just sank for you. Not for the phone, but that you’ve just signed onto At&t for another 2 years. You didn’t want to use that opportunity to go to switch?
I am so sorry you had to sign on to At&t for 2 more years. You couldn’t have used the opportunity to switch?
If this were my husband talking, the comment would say “took the trash out yesterday in 8 degree weather into four inches of snow in my flip-flops.” (This week his dumb thing totally trumps whatever mine was).
I’m still laughing from your dumb moment. Good story. Unfortunately, I have too many dumb moments to choose from.
Took me awhile to think of one (since I’m so smart and all)… Think my trying to do too much was the dumbest thing I did this past week.
