3 Little Lessons in Wisdom – A #OneWord2011 Progress Report

One Word 2011Back in January, I wrote a post about my one word for 2011; wisdom. The whole concept of ‘One Word‘ was dreamed up by Alece Ronzino to stand in place of those pesky New Year’s resolutions we all make, yet never keep.

I got an email from Alece last week asking everyone who participated to write a mid-year progress report. In all honesty, I don’t know how to faithfully report progress in such a subjective area as ‘wisdom.’

What I can share, however, are a few of the lessons that I’ve learned:

One Word 2011 Wisdom

I’m not a big fan of New Year’s Resolutions. They don’t stick. If you need an arbitrary date in order to start working towards a goal, odds are that goal wasn’t very important to you.

If it was, you wouldn’t wait till January 1st to get cracking on it, would you?
