The new evolution in social technology is forcing us to evolve into a new type of consumer; a digital consumer. In order to meet the new demands of this new consumer, business leaders are going to have to adjust. I outline some thoughts in this video:

New media is turning us into digital consumers who expect the following:

  1. Beautiful, intuitive design.
  2. Instand feedback/satisfaction/results.
  3. Personalized/Custom-Tailored experiences.

Here are some tips for dealing with these new customers:

  1. Graduate from hype to reality. These tools are real and are here to stay.
  2. Meet the consumers where they’re at and focus on their new demands.
  3. Things are going to change. Now is the time for strong leadership.

And, yes, I am congested today. 😉

    I thought you did a great job on this video, Kenny. Didn’t notice any “stuffiness”, either. As a non-profit organization (in the making) I found this helpful.
    Wish I could have attended PodCamp. I’ll try to catch up on the posts on “The Resistance” in the coming days. Would have loved to meet people from the area and learn all day long.
