What's Your Internal Script?

Internal Script and MindsetI’ve been taking part in a daily training program over the past few weeks at Keller Williams Realty. It’s geared towards REALTORs; specifically the areas of lead generation and business development. A large component of the course has to do with motivation and self-affirmation.

The program’s facilitator asked each of us to come up with our own personal script/affirmation/prayer. This is the statement that you make to yourself several times a day. It can be a little cheesy, especially when you say it in the mirror, but is an extremely powerful tool.

If you have trouble with self defeating attitudes and limiting beliefs, this can be one of the most important steps you take to proactively fix that situation. I’ll share mine with you:

I am not the master of my own destiny, but the child of a perfect and sovereign God.

Every mind that I’m allowed to influence, every life that I am lead to serve, every talent, gift, and resource with which I am entrusted to steward is a blessing from above.

I will give praise in my blessings and I will rejoice in my sufferings, knowing that His word will not fail.

No ruler, no authority, and no spirit can rob me of my God-given identity and purpose.

I will conduct my life and business as a faithful steward, holding all thoughts and decisions captive to the obedience of Christ.

I have been purchased for an incomprehensible price. Through the free gifts of grace and adoption, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Come up with your own internal script, read it a couple times a day, and internalize it. You’ll be amazed at what it can do to affect your mindset.

So, my request is that a few of you would be so bold as to share your internal script today. Please write your response in the comments section below.

    This is seriously beautiful. Thanks.

Not sure of my internal script yet. Except that God is sovereign. And He’s got it all under control.

I’m gonna borrow yours for a while… my own internal script is a bit less… edifying, but only ever so slightly less. One of the few (3?) things I can say positively about myself is that I tend to drastically understate things.

hey, I’m up to 3 things I can say positive about myself!!! It’s working already!
